Bitch Dog
On the left is SGT Costillo and on the right is SGT Renoles.
SGT Renoles is holding the Recon Platoon scout dog named "Bitch". She wandered into the Recon area at Wunder Beach and became our best night warning device. She hated Vietnamese and, day or night, when she alerted, pointed and softly growled you knew she was aiming at a Vietnamese of some sort. She was never wrong. She died in the Ba Long Valley when she went to sleep between the road wheels of a track.
