Chewy was the Royal Banana. This is not a bright picture but --then again—how many pictures have you seen of bananas that were worth your life if you were caught with them? They were very sweet in taste and when mature had large black seeds in one end of the fruit. Reserved for the Royal Family, it was a very serious offense for a commoner to eat one. Now they grow wild in the vicinity of what once was a royal retreat in the mountains.
