C rations did get old after a while. Shasta is in the foreground. Our platoon Sergeant behind him.  We are on the sands somewhere between Qua Viet and Wonder Beach.  Third platoon spent a lot of time in August or September patrolling the beach. It was good duty and the salt water, when we could sneak a dip, was great.
